Slavery has existed since the beginning of human civilization. It has varied in its forms and methods, but none the less it has been a part of human history. The development of slavery in American is looked on as different from past forms, because it became based on race. During this lesson we will explore the history of Slavery in America. We will also discuss modern day slavery around the world.
Lets start off with a journal entry:
Please answer the following question in your journal. What is slavery? What different types of slavery are there? When you are done, we will discuss what some of you have written down.
