Day Three: Making a World War II Movie



Focus and Review of previous work/knowledge:


Starter Activity: Students will write a brief synopsis of their assigned concept.
Anticipatory set:
Students will introduce their concepts to two other students, each with different ones.

Instructional Activity:


1.) The teacher will fuse all the Photostory, wmv files, together with MS Movie Maker.
2.) The students will help determine the order of events, or organization of the final movie.
3.) The students will watch the film and take notes on every concept.
4.) The students will critique four concepts and determine the best one.

Guided practice and checking for understanding:


The students will collectively identify the correct chronological and geographic sequence of order of events. They will learn the techniques to create a movie with Moviemaker.

Independent practice:


While watching the film, students are required to select four of their favorite projects, and explain why they think so. They will also pick the best presentation and justify their view.

Closure:


Surprise quiz to assess knowledge retention.

Only MS Moviemaker is needed.
